Mariah Carey wears bikini for new video

Mariah Carey was spotted wearing nothing but a bikini and a pair of platform heels as she strolled about on the rocky shores of Oahu, Hawaii, reports the Sun. The pop diva was in much need of a glass or two of bubbly to get in the mood for strutting her stuff semi-naked in front of the cameras.
The promo is for the singer’s upcoming single Loving You Long Time. Meanwhile, in a tell-all interview to Ellen DeGeneres, the 38-year-old singer revealed that she plans to renew their nuptials with new hubby Nick Cannon every year.

People underestimate Angelina Jolie’

American film director and actor Clint Eastwood believes that people underestimate Angelina Jolie, because she is such a beautiful woman. Eastwood is currently directing Joile in a new movie The Changeling and according to him the actress has more to her than her looks.
He believes that even though Jolie is one of the most attractive stars in the world and an impressive actress, she has more substance to her personality than she is given credit for.
The ‘Dirty Harry’ star is convinced that critics overlook her other qualities because of her appearance.
“I think that people underestimate her talent because she is such a good-looking woman. That was a problem Ingrid Bergman encountered. Bette Davis didn’t have that handicap; her face didn’t fit the standards of glamour. People instantly though of her as a great actress,” Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
“Angelina Jolie is more like Simone Signoret, whose obvious glamour never obscured her personality,” he added.

Sex and the City’ too hot for Middle East

While the ‘Sex And The City’ movie is doing well at the box office globally, it has run into some difficulties in the Middle East, where the censors are objecting to the film’s racy dialogue, nudity and even the word “sex” in its title.
Based on the hit HBO series, which ran from 1998 to 2004, the film is finding it difficult to fill up seats in theatres in the Middle East. With the producers already contemplating a sequel to the film, censors in the Gulf are demanding so many cuts in the movie, which if granted, may not actually leave the film long enough to be released in theatres.
This would leave them with the only option to release the film in DVDs, where restrictions are looser. “It’s going to be difficult in the Gulf. We can’t put the word ‘sex’ in the poster and how can you release a film without a title?” The Daily Express quoted Salim Ramia from Gulf Film, the company distributing the movie in the Middle East, as saying.
However, Carrie Bradshaw’s ‘Sex And the City’ series, starring Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, a Manolo Blahnik-clad Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall, has already been seen throughout the region on a popular pay-per-view channel called Showtime Arabia.
Still, no other country in the Middle East, other than Lebanon, which has the most liberal censors, may see a widespread cinema release for the big screen version of the series. Meanwhile, the film hasn’t yet secured a release date in China.

Fashion Tips and Secret

fashion tip is that your style should reflect a personal touch. Since we are talking about fashion trends for the working proefssional, make sure that you don't wear very sexy transparent clothing, or very casual clothing like a pair of shorts or jeans.

Comfortable apparel is required at work. But make sure that your clothes, though maybe casual, are wrinkle free and smart.

To get an idea about what fashion trend or fashion style to follow, see how your boss dresses up. The boss's apparel can give you good fashion ideas for yourself. Selecting the right kind of jewelry is equally important. Jangling jewelry is best avoided. Pearl jewelry, silver jewelry, copper jewelry or even leather jewelry can be worn as long as it is not highly attention grabbing.

The handbags that ladies carry can make an important fashion statement. Designer handbags are okay for work, as long as they help you carry the image of an organised and efficient woman.

Finally, I will add that basic cleanliness and hygiene are an integral part of a fashion conscious individual. Ensure that your body is clean and odour free. Make use of a good perfume, remember that it should have a pleasant, mild fragrance. Strong scents are best avoided at the workplace. Wear well polished and comfortable shoes. A good hair style makes an important fashion statement. Use an appropriate nail polish if so desired, but do ensure that you have well manicured nails.

Jessica Parker

Jessica Parker in designer dress row

Sarah Jessica Parker was not the only one who walked the red carpet in the silver Nina Ricci gown she wore for the “Sex and the City” premiere, for socialite Lauren Santo Domingo beat her to it.
Weeks before Parker showed up clad in the dress crafted by Ricci designer Olivier Theyskens, Domingo had already shown it off while attending the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Insitute Gala, reports the New York Daily News.

The dress drama echoes Reese Witherspoon’s mini-controversy with Chanel in 2006. The actress had worn a gown that Chanel told her was vintage and never been worn before. As it turned out, both fact were wrong.
Not only was the gown not vintage (it came from a 2002 collection), it had already been worn by Kirsten Dunst to a party three years earlier. Chanel was forced to apologize for the “oversight.” In Parker’s case however, there has been no news about whether Nina Ricci has made a similar apology since the publicist has not responded as yet.

Fashion Resort 2009

The Spring summer season is synonymous with flowers. Roses, sunflowers, tulips, peonies. They look beautiful not only in your garden; the bright, cute, feminine flowers look great on your dresses and accessories as well.

With the spring summer season on the anvil, flowers are being resurrected in prints in a big way. Different types of prints are in vogue now. “Cabbage roses, tiny buds, huge prints of mixed flowers. You can select your print from an array of designs,” says fashion designer Anupama Dayal. From a single flower on a dress to wild, dense prints to scattered flowers, there are plenty of options to chose from.

While many designers believe in the mantra of ‘bigger the better’, when it comes to flowers on prints, you can also opt for the tiny petals or buds in prints which also look very cute. Keeping in mind the warm weather of the coming season, light weight fluid fabrics are ideal. “Chiffon, georgettes, tulles and organzas are some of the best suited fabrics for floral prints. They lend a summery look to your attire which is both feminine and sweet,” says Anupama.

This season, it is in fashion to opt for the brightest of shades. The colours are very bold right now and there is a new, brave mood. Orange, green, crimson, yellow mix and match your clothes and wear the bright colours with élan. “Long maxi dresses, mid calf tunics and full length skirts look great in floral prints. For a trendier look, wear a cropped trouser in floral print and team it up with a halter in lime green or lemon yellow or any other bright shade,:” For the avant-grade, play with skirts and dresses in shorter hemlines which will make you look sexy.

Fashion Trend Alert

The tattered look seems to be making a major comeback at the fashion circle. A cropped top teamed with painted jeans can make for a bold and his look.

Black, white and crème has always been a sober combination. A dense, layered top and a pretty silk skirt in sleek multi layers lends an innovative touch to this elegant combo

Black never goes out of fashion. But to get a more glamorous look, pin a studded brooch to your dress. This will accentuate your outfit and will act as a piece of accessory.

Fashion Spring Summer

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDGI) recently announced the dates for the Spring Summer 2009 edition of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, which will be held in New Delhi from October 15 to 19.

While the India catwalks are still restricted to the concept of Spring Summer and Fall Winter, it is not just about two seasons anymore. Resort, Cruise, or the ‘in-between collection, is the new thing internationally.

A look at the itineraries of fashion majors the world over reflects the increasing focus on the new collection that gives designer something to work on and customers more to choose from during an otherwise lull period.

On may 12 in New York, John Galliano showed the Resort 2009 collection for Dior, which the fashion house has been putting out since a couple of years. Amidst a pool like setting and presence of attentive guests like Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Charlize Theron – Mr. Galliano unleashed bead power, coral and fuchsia. If Galliano created a pool like backdrop, Karl Lagerfeld actually took his whole crew to a Miami pool for Chanel’s Cruise collection. A few days later, Alessandra Facchinetti presented Valentino’s Resort 2009 collection, while Francis co Costa’s Resort 2009 line for Calvin Klein stuck to the trademark beiges, greys and whites.
The bottomline is, Resort is now an official, full fledged collection, with designers coming up with an entire collection instead of a few on and off pieces. Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2009 show had models parading a total of 66 pieces, ranging from evening gowns to wide-leg trousers, skirts, blouses and sheath dresses wide brimmed hats.
